Brazen wins Showcase Cinemas’ PR brief
Showcase Cinemas has selected Manchester-based integrated agency Brazen to deliver a national and regional brand-building campaign, following a competitive pitch.
With Showcase celebrating its 30th anniversary in the UK later this year, the brief will see Brazen champion the firm’s portfolio of 21 cinemas across the country.
Brazen will work to increase Showcase’s share of voice within the cinema and leisure industry, drive footfall and contribute to growing its market share.
The agency plans to use a blend of big, show stopping ideas linked to film releases to promote the cinema’s USPs – from fully customisable recliner seats to wall-to-wall screens and grassroots community engagement.
Brazen director Sasha Marks will lead the account. Brazen LIVE, the consultancy’s in-house production team, will create all content for the campaign.
Jon Dixon, Showcase’s sales and marketing director, said: “Brazen impressed us with its enthusiasm, creative ideas, relevant experience at a national, regional and local level and its strong credentials within influencer marketing.”
Marks added: “Everyone loves the escapism of a trip to the cinema. But our job will be to show film fans why they should choose Showcase – with a PR campaign that steals share of voice and provides reasons to believe. With our ‘own the screen’ mantra, this is our dream client and we can’t wait to get the show started!”
